Helicity Amplitudes of the Λ(1670) and two Λ(1405) as dynamically generated resonances

We determine the helicity amplitudes A1/2 and radiative decay widths in the transition Λ(1670) → γY (Y = Λ or Σ). The Λ(1670) is treated as a dynamically generated resonance in mesonbaryon chiral dynamics. We obtain the radiative decay widths of the Λ(1670) to γΛ as 3 ± 2 keV and to γΣ as 120 ± 50 keV. Also, the Q dependence of the helicity amplitudes A1/2 is calculated. We find that the KΞ com...

Analyzing the Optical Properties and Peak Behavior Due to Plasmon Resonance of Silver Cubic-Shape Nanostructures by Means of Discrete Dipole Approximation

In this article, the optical properties of silver cubic-shape nanostructures (SCNs) were analyzed by employing the discrete dipole approximation (DDA) in aqueous media. The absorption, dispersion and extinction cross-sections of these nanostructures were calculated based on the wavelength change of the incident light in the visible and near infrared region. Moreover, the height change, waveleng...

Effects of Fluid Environment Properties on the Nonlinear Vibrations of AFM Piezoelectric Microcantilevers

Nowadays, atomic-force microscopy plays a significant role in nanoscience and nanotechnology, and is widely used for direct measurement at atomic scale and scanning the sample surfaces. In tapping mode, the microcantilever of atomic-force microscope is excited at resonance frequency. Therefore, it is important to study its resonance. Moreover, atomic-force microscopes can be operated in fluid e...

Is Θ(1540) a Kaon–Skyrmion Resonance?

We reconsider the relationship between the bound state and the SU(3) rigid rotator approaches to strangeness in the Skyrme model. For non-exotic S = −1 baryons the bound state approach matches for small mK onto the rigid rotator approach, and the bound state mode turns into the rotator zero-mode. However, for small mK , we find no S = +1 kaon bound states or resonances in the spectrum, confirmi...

Application of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) as a safe & Application of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) as a safe & non-destructive method for monitoring of fruit & vegetable in postharvest period

To investigate and control quality, one must be able to measure quality-related attributes. Quality of produce encompasses sensory attributes, nutritive values, chemical constituents, mechanical properties, functional properties and defects. MRI has great potential for evaluating the quality of fruits and vegetables. The equipment now available is not feasible for routine quality testing. The ...
